SUSTAINABILITY

“The future of our society depends on a stable climate and renewable energy. Our commitment is therefore to develop innovative solutions that can help transform the current consumption model into a more circular and sustainable one for present and future generations.”

Giuseppe Tartari - CEO Revo S.p.a.

The value of sustainability, to be real and effective, must necessarily permeate our every thought and every action we take as an ethical principle of responsibility. For this reason, we offer our customers solutions that meet increasingly advanced sustainability standards so that they can face the great challenge of the future. We guarantee our collaborators a stimulating environment and training opportunities for the development of their skills, while at the same time committing ourselves to intervene towards the surrounding community. As a global company, we are moving towards our sustainability goals, such as decarbonising our facilities and increasing our sources of clean, renewable energy.

LESS
ENERGY

Reduction of energy-intensive processes

LESS
RESOURCES

Reduction in the consumption of limited or non-renewable resources

LESS
POLLUTION

Reduction of polluting emissions

ECO-DESIGN

A creativity shaped by the principles of sustainability is expressed in the design of innovative and integrated solutions to improve the efficiency of processes and products, to optimize resources throughout the life cycle and recyclability.

SUSTAINABLE INPUT

Choice of sustainable inputs to reduce the use of virgin and depletable inputs, favoring the use of renewable and alternative sources including secondary raw materials.

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE AND RECOVER

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover, to maximize efficiency in the use of resources (including water and land) and minimize waste, using them as a new sustainable input and promoting their regenerative capacity.

LIFETIME EXTENSION

Product life extension is the postponement or cancellation of the obsolescence of the same through a deliberate intervention, thus contributing, with a new use and a new life, to the circular economy.

PRODUCT AS A SERVICE

Product as a service, satisfying the needs of the user by maximizing their life and promoting their more effective and efficient use.

CIRCULAR CARBON

A circular carbon economy is a framework for managing and reducing CO2 emissions that should be reduced, reused, recycled, removed and balanced for the residual part in the atmosphere.

RENEWABLE
RESOURCES

Produced from renewable sources from a supply chain strictly selected

REGENERATED
RESOURCES

Resource product regenerated that give new life to industrial by-products

BIOPLASTIC

REVO S.P.A. – the value of sustainability

Sustainability: a central value that characterizes all our choices and guides all strategic decisions of our business. In fact, we firmly believe in the need for a future based on deep attention to environmental aspects by operating in our daily lives in a responsible, sustainable and transparent manner towards our people, the community and our customers. For this reason, our company immediately engaged in the research and selection of natural products and at the same time giving new life to industrial by-products otherwise destined for disposal: a new opportunity, a new use at the service of our society. This activity allows us to create an eco-sustainable policy not only within our work team but also together with most of our stakeholders. It is a successful shared strategy: a fruitful collaboration which thus makes it possible to develop ever more sustainable solutions and ever closer to environmental and social aspects to be preserved with extreme care. The range of our eco-friendly products (RevoBio products) is divided into the following categories:
  • Bio-based products: products derived from raw materials of vegetable origin, whose physical-mechanical and process characteristics are equal to traditional products of fossil origin;
  • Regenerated industrial by-products: product category that follows a “cradle to cradle” approach;
  • Regenerated industrial by-products in a bio-based version: a new frontier reached to further limit environmental impacts.
A range of products with low environmental impact but with a very high orientation towards energy saving and the enhancement of ethics in the selection of raw materials.
Furthermore, our bio-based range responds positively to analyzes relating to the absence of genetically modified organisms in the raw materials of origin and does not conflict with products used in the food chain (food competition contexts).
The criticality in the choice of raw materials that will be used in its production chain is increasingly a crucial aspect on which our company is committed to being able to make a difference!
In support of our constant commitment to making our sustainable development promotion policy transparent, we adopt specific tools capable of analyzing and measuring the concrete benefits of our Revobio product line.
LCA (Life Cycle Assessment or also called Life Cycle Analysis) is a tool capable of analyzing the environmental impact of a product along all stages of its entire life cycle: extraction of raw materials, production, transport up to the user , use phase, final disposal. The method is standardized by the ISO14040 and ISO14044 standards. By using some simple but equally effective environmental indicators (such as, for example, climate change, the depletion of abiotic resources and photochemical oxidation), it is possible to quantify the exact impact that the various materials generate on the environment and about society in general. The benefits that we intend to analyse, deriving from a responsible production chain, are objectively measured and aim to certify the company as an entity capable of adhering to high performance standards in terms of environmental and social protection.
Revo can now declare that the use of regenerated material compared to a completely virgin material leads to a global reduction of the environmental impact (to be considered as the sum of the impacts of the materials and the various processes involved).
With a view to future development, our Research & Development department is actively engaged in finding formulation solutions that allow the increase of the organic content within our product range, starting from the selection of an increasingly responsible and sustainable supply chain, as well as than optimizing technologically advanced production processes to further reduce the environmental impact.
